Coffee has become one of the staple things in the lives of Americans. Today over 50 % of Americans drink coffee. That's over 150 million people drinking coffee! What is in it that makes coffee so popular?
Coffee is popular for many reasons. One of those reasons is coffee contains caffeine. Caffeine helps people get through the day. Americans don't get much sleep and coffee helps them compensate for that.
Another reason coffee is so popular is because it's addictive. People get mental addictions to their coffee. If they don't have it they will get headaches, shakes, be fatigued, have insomnia or others. This mental addiction causes people to keep going back to coffee.
Because of the effects of caffeine and it's addictiveness coffee is become a large part of the morning routine of Americans. This need for Americans to have their coffee has created approximately 25,000 coffee shops. Those shops make about 12 billion dollars a year.

I agree completely about coffee. I know you explain why its so popular and why people drink it, but so many people are going to be addicted that they will lose their mind without coffee.
