This past Saturday I had the privilege of going to the Chicago Auto Show. I have been going to the auto show since the year 2000. Due to all the talk of the economy being so bad and the car industry going down hill I was expecting the car show to be somewhat worse than it has been in years past. That was not the case.
The floors of the auto shows had almost as many cars as ever before. The only car companies I noticed missing was Porsche. They may have been more but that was the only noticeable one. It was said that some car companies limited the cars they brought but the auto show layout seemed almost as packed as every other year.
The amount of people at the auto show was also not on a downhill slump. The auto show industry had to add extra ticket booths to help handle the amount of ticket buyers. The number of people has not been released to the public yet. However, news reports have been that the turnout was strong.
The reason that the auto show turn out was so high was that it was in Chicago. Chicago has the largest auto show in terms of the size. It also has the largest amount of people that attend it. Auto shows have been said to be declining but the Chicago Auto show was the same as its always been, the biggest and the best.
